8th and finishing above chelsea IS progress. And that would have been done with serious injury problems for 2 or 3 months and the worst luck with referee mistakes.
If we get europa, that will be good, if we don't, ir just might be better.
I just want to beat the mancs for a great farewell to the old ground.

Assuming we win Against Man U, and that's a huge If, and assuming that saints won't be as stupid to fuck it up against palace on the last day, and given the impact a 4-1 drubbing has had on our respective goal difference, even if we do beat man Utd I can't see a draw now being good enough at stoke, we probably have to win both, right?

I'd have been happy before the season started, but we've been 5th/6th for a while now so to finish 7th or 8th would be a bit dissappointing.

It's not just 8th place though is it. It is also a record number of PL points and a healthy positive goal difference. In addition to that we have had a reasonable FA cup run, shortened by ref neglect, and have finished second in the London PL league.
Other things we can pick out too like winning at Anfield and doing the double over Liverpool. No PL team doing the double over us etc.
IMHO there is a lot to be positive about.

Slaven's first season, some great wins over the big boys and entertaining football. I think it's been a great season and I look forward to the next season in a new stadium.

It's been a great fucking season.
Have no idea how people can moan. Brilliant football, some wonderful moments, a side full of team spirit and fight, a fearless manager who wants to WIN games and some great days for those fans who travel up and down the country week in, week out.
What's not to like?
